Mobile Objects, "On-Line" (real time) Fuel Monitoring
/ General Structure
Vehicle "On-Line" Fuel
monitoring system as usual is an additional function
of "Real Time" GPS-GSM/GPRS vehicle monitoring system.
In general,
monitoring system consist of the next main
components:

Fuel Level Sensor;

vehicle GPRS module
(GPS-GSM module Guardmagic VB serie);
-
communication network:
GSM/GPRS network and Internet);
-
Monitoring Station (PC
computer with monitoring software and connection to
Internet).

Components

Fuel Level Sensor |
Fuel level sensor make
measurement of fuel level in fuel tank and send this
data to fuel data logger.
It can be Electronic Fuel
level Probe with analog output GuardMagic FLPa or
Digital Fuel Level Sensor GuardMagic DFLS with
RS-485 output interface.
In simple version of fuel
monitoring system also is possible to use the regular
vehicle fuel level sensor (with analog output), but it
will give more high fuel measurement error.

Vehicle GSM/GPRS module |
Vehicle module collect
information from Fuel sensor (sensors) and send this
information to monitoring station.
Vehicle module also send
to monitoring station GPS information (location,
parameters of movement) and other additional
information.

Communication network (GSM/GPRS
+ Internet) |
Communication channel for
the sending information from vehicle module to Personal
Computer.

Monitoring Station |
Monitoring Station consist
of personal computer and special monitoring software.
Personal Computer have to
be connect to internet and have the it own fix IP
address.
Monitoring station collect
the fuel data (GPS and others information) from vehicle
modules, store this data in PC hard drive, make
analyzing of this data and generate the special reports.
